Looking for something healthy to nibble on while you watch TV? Then we have just the right thing for you: a recipe for homemade, oven-baked apple and banana crisps. It’s easy to make crisps from slices of fresh fruit, like apples and bananas. Simply add some honey and cinnamon to make a tasty and healthy snack. We love to nibble on crisps!
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 110 °C.
- Peel the bananas and core the apples. Slice both fruit types very thinly. The thinner the slices, the faster they crispen!
- Place the slices of fruit on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle with honey.
- Bake in the oven at 110 °C for approx. 90 minutes, turning occasionally. Leave to cool and serve in small dishes.
Tips & Tricks
If you would like to make your fruit last for a lot longer and use it in muesli and other dishes, you can also make your own dried fruit by drying it for several hours in the oven. Find out here how to do that.
Try this recipe with other spices like vanilla or cardamom. If you like to experiment, try the oven-baked banana crisps with curry or chilli.
