Anyone who eats our products should be able to do so without hesitation and with complete enjoyment. In short, we want to offer the freshest, safest and most nutritious products on the market. Our creative and innovative thinking is rooted in extensive scientific knowledge.

Above all, ensuring children get a complete balanced diet is close to our heart. We want to teach young people the value of healthy food. An important aspect of The Dole Way is unsurprisingly, nutrition education. In social media or Dole Nutrition News we provide information on the latest nutritional research and motivate people with recipes and tips to lead a healthier lifestyle.

In addition there are many other initiatives and projects. Our goal: By 2025 we want to reach 750 million contacts per year through all of the company's information campaigns on the topics of health, nutrition and wellbeing.

Dole also supports many food and nutrition-specific projects with both monetary and in-kind donations as well as through volunteer work by our employees. By 2025 we want to donate 2,500 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables to underserved communities. In 2018 we were able to deliver a total of 52 million portions of fruit and vegetables to food banks, schools and charitable organizations throughout the world.

Not to be forgotten is the problem of food waste in industrialized countries. We are addressing this too, by providing our products with a usage recommendation instead of an expiration date for example.
