Bread from a jar? Yes, you heard right! Our banana almond bread is baked in a jar and is a fruity and satisfying snack between meals and when you are out and about. Tip: It is also perfect as a small gift for friends and family.
Directions
- Mash 4 bananas with a fork and mix with the oil, yoghurt, honey, salt, cinnamon, clove and egg whites to form a smooth mixture. Fold in 100 g of almonds.
- Mix the spelt flour with the baking powder and sodium bicarbonate and stir into the banana mixture.
- Grease the jars thinly with oil and fill with dough.
- Cut the last banana into rough pieces, press the banana pieces into the dough and sprinkle the remaining almonds and the orange zest on top.
- Place the jars into the preheated oven and bake at 170°C (fan-assisted oven 150°C) for approx. 35–40 minutes.
Tips & Tricks
It also tastes great if you mix 100 g of dark chocolate pieces into the dough.
